‘Abdul-Basit ‘Ab 

del-Samad (1927 – 30 November 1988) (Arabic; عبد الباسط عبد الصمد), (Kurdish; Ebdul Basit), was a renowned Kurdish Egyptian Qari (reciter of the Qur'an)^{[citation needed]}.
